During the implementation of the MedSurv-Portal we took especially account of high usability. The result is an intuitively usable onlie solution. Thus extensive trainings and practice times will not occur as all features and functions have a high recognition value. The user will always find similar elements which results in a high skilled operation of the system.

User administration and support We take special account of the quality of the entered data. Therefore the application only accepts input of selected users. Once the users have been recruited we care for the complete handling of the administration as well as informing them about the access to the portal and the technical support during the operation of the trial. A big advantage is that a user that participates in more than one trial only needs one account. At the login he is able to select the trial in which he wants to enter data currently. This approach resulted in a notedly possitive feedback from the users.
Patient managment Security, clarity and efficiancy are the most important aspects for the patient management. These aspects have been ideally integrated into the MedSurv-Portal. The collected patient master data is available only for the user himself. For a complete overview the complete list of patients is permanently visible. Further more it is possible to enter data for patient in a cross trial manner. That means that it ts not necessary to enter the patient for more than one time for multiple trials.
Reporting A powerful reporting system is integrated into the portal. By default a list of the patients is available as well as a detailed report with all collected data. The report may be saved or printed in several common formats and may be easily added to the patients record.
Up and Download of documents The integrated document management allows you to add common documents for each trial at any time you need it. These documents will be available for reviewing or downloading for each user of the trial. The type of the document does not play a role, no matter it is about images, documents, Excel files or PDF files. A detailed description ensures that users will find the needed information easily.
Forum An especial feature is the integratable forum. With this medium users are able to exchange information among each other. This will help to pass common experiences or discuss special cases or therapy proposals. If needed you may share information of the related patient within the forum. The forum may optionally moderated, that is to say a special administrator verifies the entries before they are beeing published.
Mailing The portal contains a system embedded mailing function that realises support requests by E-Mail for example. Just as well this function allows you to send automatic reminders to patients or users. This function runs automatically in the background and is time scheduled.
